here’s our story

“Wood” You Do Us the Favor of Listening to Our Story?

In 1992, I started the hobby of making furniture out of the basement of our home. Inspired by David Marks (Woodworks), Thomas Moser, and Jeff Miller – and given the confidence to try it for myself by Norm Abram (The New Yankee Workshop) — I started a hobby that quickly became a creative passion.

Over the next 28 years, and hundreds of pieces, I’ve turned that passion into a vocation.

For me, the joy of woodworking is the creative process of working with a client to develop one-of-a-kind, fit-for-the-space creations. I don’t mass produce my pieces. We collaborate to design a piece that not only provides the needed function, but complements its surroundings in aesthetic, space, and architectural style. My goal is to create unique, heirloom-quality pieces that my customers will love to own; not only for the beauty and function, but because they themselves were part of the creative process.

I hope that, as you scan through the photographs on this site, you’ll be inspired to commission a piece of your own and contact me to discuss what we might be able to make together.

I look forward to working with you!

Gary
